paddypower.com has launched an Outright Winner betting market for the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event, as the field was reduced to the final nine players and in a break from tradition, play is suspended until the final table recommences on 9 November.

A total of 6,844 players took part in the ,000 Main Event, and it took eleven days of play to reduce the huge field to just nine players.

All of the big-name professionals and pre-tournament favourites have been eliminated, and the final nine will face intense media scrutiny in the run-up to the concluding day of the world’s most important poker tournament.
